You can visit the famous orangutans Max and Jenny, the beloved giraffes Bo and Mac, or you can walk the grounds and encounter a variety of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish and amphibians. There is a miniature express train, a 2000-gallon salt water fish habitat, and a large gift shop called the Zootique.

Every summer the zoo features jazz concerts on the weekends. Other special events include Boo at the Zoo, the annual breakfast with Santa and the animals, and Earth Day festivities. The Racine Zoo is committed to preserving endangered species and has programs in place designed to encourage wildlife conservation through a variety of educational programs that are offered to the public.
